The premise used for this special type of revenge humiliation story was very well orchestrated and described by the author. (7/10)

The protagonist's surname is "Nugent", indicating that this story is sure to "rock". The Thai descriptions are vivid, as are the other character/place names. Unfortunately much of what "lays" the scene also could be edited. Still a fine story that wants one to cash in their frequent flyer miles for more. (6/10)

Well yes. Sometimes plagarism is voluntary and sometimes not; have to ask Paladin to search his soul for the truth. Now to the story. "Mama-san" would be a phrase used in Japan, not Thailand. Girls in a low-end brothel in Bankok would be Thai, not Chinese; perhaps the occasional Filipina or Indonesian. Little details like that can get to a person, as can spelling and grammar errors (to for too, Las Angles for Los Angeles, etc.). The story is interesting, it is entertaining, suspense builds with increasing conflict, etc, as a good story should. Check the details, though, to make the story attractive to your readers. And leave enough footprints in the plot that readers can be sure it's yours! (4/10)

Despite the low rating I gave it, I like this story very much. Of course, I liked it a great deal better in its original form: "Taste of the Orient" by Orestes I have no problem with a writer being inspired by someone else's story, but there is a certain protocol that should be followed. First, just changing the characters' names and paraphrasing the original are insufficient. Use the original story as a frame, okay, but re-write it so significantly -- adding new ideas, enhancing plausibility, injecting humor perhaps, producing a new rhythm and flow, etc. -- that it truly becomes a new and improved creation. (Of course, it's best to choose a story that is poor-to-mediocre, but does have possibilities. Any story by Orestes, an excellent writer, is not a good choice for this treatment. Ditto Parker. Ditto Marlissa....) Second, you must make a sincere effort to secure the original author's permission. It's not always easy (or, indeed possible) to make contact at all -- Web writers are often reclusive (for one reason or another); email addresses attached to stories are very frequently out-of-date, and so on. But you should try. If a good faith effort fails to reach the author, go ahead and post -- but see "Third," below. Third, acknowledge your debt to the original author right up front. Clearly state both author and title. You can do so without a qualm if you have followed the suggestions in "First" and "Second" above. (2/10)

Despite the whimsy penalty that I, like any reeder of a Paladin story, must pay, this one is definitely a winner. Girl-girl domination and humiliation is rapidly becoming one of my favorite genres, and this first installment putts this one wright up their. Looking forward eagerly two the next installment. (8/10)
