Well thought out situations, a little lacking on character development. Angie seemed like she was under the influence of some substance, either that, or she was of diminished capacity. The boys were all a bit unbelievable, with possible exception to Chet. The storyline itself was quite a novel idea, very interesting concept with enough tease to build up the suspense. Good work. (8/10)

A talented writer working with a so-so story. The situation is a little far-fetched, but I thought Chet was believable, at least. Angie... mmm, I just didn't believe in the character. There wasn't the kind of dialogueyou need between a boyfriend and a girlfriend when the girlfriend goes naked in front of his friends. (7/10)

- Okay Okay, I blew it with this one. I got a little too focused on WHAT was happening, and forgot the WHY and the HOW. All my reviewers were correct however, the interactions between the characters wasn't very believable. Oh well...next time. Michael Alexander

I agree with lex. This was weird. Pretty prose though. I liked the imagery, but again, how old are these kids? I've read other things this author has written and this is really different. My guess it that Mr. Alexander didn't know what the devil this was either. (9/10)

Bizzarre is the only word that comes even close to adequately describing this weird, unbelievable little tale. In addition I did not find it at all erotic despite the symbolism of the rocket. The author does however demonstrate a high degree of writing skill and has peopled his work with a pair of extremely odd characters. The "obedient" girl acts as if she has some type of mental impairment which is not my particular cup of tea at all. The "midget" leader with the overactive imagination and the intellectual ability to carry out this insane rite is truly a monster in progress, despite his age, whatever it may have been. The ending, although unbelievable, seemed oddly compatible with the nature of this work. It should be also mentioned in passing that the synopsis was more tease than forthright. Despite all my exceptions and criticisms the author must be complimented for at least producing something that is well off the beaten path, a refreshing change from what is usually posted here. (7/10)
