Very humerous. Obscenity is not enough to describe Cross' wealth and then it goes beyond even that. (10/10)

another one of those I read a couple of years ago.
Actually, this is one of the few stories where the sci-fi setting pays off, isn't a tad ludicrous nor does it feel, like so often, that the story was written 'normally' and transposed to an undefined future just to grab attention.
The sets are overwhealming, very well described, and the whole premise breaths a certain grandeur which makes the story very real.
So real even, you feel like watching everything through a large window in time.
The discussions/dialogues are finetuned, narrowed down to accurate and to the point outings, never to sound ridiculous or used to make the reader wiser "in case we just didn't get it"...
Excellent story and a marvel to read.
