Whatever the case, this short featuring our beloved Grace, is once again a shot in the bullseye. Great build-up, great description of her non-dress and accurate painting of the atmosphere. Well done.

I always enjoy Grace's struggles, psychological and physical. However, I must agree with Curtis. This story is like a little addition to Grace's Hard Lessons I and II.
The dreamlike feeling was conveyed well throughout the story; however, because Royston's ownership of Grace is real, the "was it a dream" concept seemed out of context.
But praise is in order to the author on doing a great job of gradually increasing the intensity of poor Grace's degradation, through her own self-control and obedience.
I look forward to more! (7/10)

- ThisGirl: grace's confusion at the end wasn't whether her entire episode with Royston was a dream, it certainly isn't. Her confusion was whether she dreamt about the latter portion of the evening after she got drunk at the party and went back to the hotel room. Hope that clarifies. By the way just realised our 'dream' discussion is a spoiler.

uuuuuuummmmmmmmmm i was lost and confused to say the least. there was no introduction to explain her situation, there was no explanation during the story, oh one line, Royston ahd instructed her to not say no. who is He, why is she doing it for Him? i found the story very disjointed, and i did not feel the characters had any personality. i see what the author was trying to do with the whole was it a dream thing, but for me it just didnt read well. (5/10)

- Perhaps I should have stated upfront that my intention of this short story was to explore the mindset of a submissive who has chosen to obey someone who controlled her, in this case a peculiar instruction for the evening. The focus was not so much on why she chose to obey him or the events that led to her decision, but on the happenings thereafter - the implications of her obedience, the psychological struggle she faced doing things she normally wouldn't.
