F/m, m-self. Tried to read this one with my eyes closed, at first, but that doesn't seem to work very well.
A good thing I kept them open afterwards, my eyes, as this is again a delight of a story. Beautiful even. Until that salto mortale at the end. Rolling of the drums. Tension. Relief as everything went smoothly. And a chuckle at the realisation, hehe...
What I also liked with this story is the female point of view. Very well done. Great dialogue. Especially on the phone. Folks will think "dialogues on the phone or face-to-face, there's no difference when writing them down"... Well, there is. Phone, internet chat, it's not that easy because of the lack of body language, facial expression. Internet is even more difficult as there's even no vocal intonation.
But the conversations were handled pretty well.
And Jake. Very well doen too. Especially his slight masochist streak which seems to be born out of a psychological need to overcome his feelings of inferiority, because of what happened. Very neat that all this is taking place in a dark corner of Connie's mind, which makes the intrinsic quality of the tale jump right off the scale, to the positive side, that is.
Layers in-between layers. Reality, fantasy, intermingled, but with such a delighful degree of accuracy, inside Connie's musings.
Okay, so I should know by now what to expect from Miss Strangelove. But that doesn't take away that every story is always a very nice surprise.
What also struck me just now (okay, I'm slow sometimes), is that you are not a writer of erotic fiction, Dorothy, but a writer. Period. You don't write erotica with a story woven into it, but rather the opposite. And that's what makes your stories stand out.

I'm glad you read this one even though the codes are not your usual preference, yes, it is the female dominating the male or rather not as we find out in the end, with this story I wanted to show how powerful thoughts and feelings can emerge and come into their own purely through an ntricate fantasy, and I had a lot of fun weaving threads that the reader can follow, knowing the threads will twist and turn and lead them to a surprising ending they did not expect, so there's a double meaning to my title, the mind fuck is not only going on in Connie's head, but the reader is forced to follow it along and I hope everyone who reads this takes delight in the conclusion, and you are totally right - I'm a writer first, the plot comes first, then the characters form, then the erotic content grows from the characters, I weave the thread through the story that way, I prefer to do that because while it's sometimes a nice slide into a cloud of erotica or a sharp leap into a dark pit of wantonness, I find erotica alone with no surrounding tale is sometimes missing something, especially when it is well written, and I've often read stories that have been brilliant and I've thought, there should be more flesh and bones to it, just to make it all the more of a slide into another world. I have always loved using writing as a form of escapism, dreaming, fantasy, jjust to make another world where so much can happen, and that is how I make my stories, I will be working on a new one pretty soon, I have the plot but the erotica will slide in with the characters, even I don't know their kinks and preferences yet, but it will be fun to find out as they jump off the page at me. I'm glad my stories stand out, and thanks once again for such a great review.

a good story, its nice to read something that is so different from the rest and was not so predictable, i love the way at the end when it was revealed it was just her fantasy, and that in the real work place it was so different. i hope there are more chapters to come (9/10)

Thank you for such a nice review. I wrote this story because I wanted to show that a woman's (and some men's) minds are far more intricate when it comes to fantasy stimuli than it may seem on the surface, such as, love/hate relationships in real life can fuel fantasy fire if the attraction is there, something will spark. The difference in the power balance also comes into play, e.g she fancied her boss even though he was obnoxious because she fantasised about making him helpless and that enabled her to indulge in the role of the strong woman sexually, and altered him in the process. Glad you enjoyed it.
